June 28, 2019 - PRLog -- The 27th Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards 2019
Adds 'Hong Kong Best Award' to recognize the most outstanding projects in the city

(Hong Kong, 28 June, 2019) This year, Hong Kong Interior Design Association (HKIDA) will be hosting its 27th Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards (APIDA) in recognition of the best interior design achievements all over the world. To further celebrate the most creative talents and showcase extraordinary local projects internationally, HKIDA launched ''Hong Kong Best Award" as a new category which applies to all types of interior design project entries located in Hong Kong.

The 27th APIDA awards judge panel is comprised of talents from internationally-acclaimed local and overseas designer firms, some of which includes Klein Dytham architecture, Aedas, Alan Chan Design Co and Hassell. Last year, HKIDA has attracted more than 700 projects submitted from top international firms and highly-qualified individuals globally for their completed projects in major cities across the globe.

"APIDA has been long seen as a recognized accolade for all interior design talents worldwide," said Joey Ho, Chairman of HKIDA. "Every year we continue to receive an increasing number of impressive projects from all over the world exceeding expectations from judges and setting new standards."

HKIDA designed APIDA to promote public awards of interior design as an important aspect of everyday life, acknowledge and honor industry-recognized interior designers and uphold professional standards and ethics among best interior design practices in the region. Award categories include shopping space, food space, work space, institutional space, installation & exhibition space, living space, leisure & entertainment space, hotel space, sample space, small living space, small work space, student design and the new addition of Hong Kong Best Award.

Shigero Kubota, President of Japan Commercial Environmental Design Association and previous APIDA judge said, "APIDA is not only applicable to Hong Kong designers, but it is also a leading awards for all of Asia. Receiving an APIDA award opens opportunities to the rest of the world."

Award prize (Gold, Silver and Bronze) of all 13 categories will be announced during the annual APIDA gala dinner on November 28, 2019 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

APIDA welcomes entries from now until 31 July, 2019, 5 p.m. for completed projects in Asia Pacific within August 2018 – July 2019. For more details about APIDA, please visit
