Balmer Lawn Hotel Voted the New Forest's Most Dog Friendly
By: Balmer Lawn Hotel
This follows the news that The New Forest has been voted the second-best place in the UK for dog walkers, after the Lake District.
Comments Michael Clitheroe, General Manager of the Balmer Lawn Hotel, "everyone knows that we are crazy about dogs in the UK, spending more per capita on our pets than any other country in the world.
"And we are certainly crazy about dogs here at Balmer Lawn with no fewer than 23 of our 56 rooms being dog friendly; so, it's great to be recognised with the award.
"We provide fresh fluffy towels, water bowls and tasty treats for our four-legged guests, to try and ensure that every dog has the same fantastic experience as their owners. We even have an outside area where mucky pups can be hosed down!"
Finalists were chosen for their ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Located in spacious grounds and overlooking the village green and cricket pitch, forest walks can be enjoyed direct from the hotel's main entrance.
What's more, all the pubs in Brockenhurst are also dog friendly!
A common problem with most dog-friendly hotels is that guests usually have to leave their dogs in their room or car when going for dinner.
At Balmer Lawn, there is an area with tables and chairs just outside the main restaurant, where guests can sit and have dinner with their pets.
The hotel, which has recently undergone a multi-million facelift, offers a fine dining experience in the Beresfords Restaurant, and the hotel also has a cosy bar selling a wide range of ales including Smokin' Deer, which is brewed in the hotel's own Brockenhurst Brewery, located within the grounds.
There is also the Saltus Spa, with a wide range of pre-bookable treatments and indoor and outdoor pools.
Balmer Lawn is currently offering a Summer Spa offer, which is available between Sundays and Thursdays.
It costs from £135 pp (two sharing) which includes accommodation in a superior room, 25-minute spa treatment, £30 dinner food allowance and full-English breakfast (or fruit or muesli, there's no pressure!).
