EconoLux Industries announces new Mc Series of LED COB grow-lights with close match to McCree curve
Low-cost LED Grow-light engines with an 80% match to a 90% match to the McCree curve according to the model selected.
The ELPL-Mc series are designed as a "Full spectrum" and "Full cycle" LED Grow-light COBs, with a close match of 80%, 85%, 90% or 95+% to the McCree curve, for professional and presumer growing applications.
The McCree curve, was researched by Dr. Keith J. McCree, a professor at Texas A & M, and published in his ground breaking paper entitled "The action spectrum, absorptance and quantum yield of photosynthesis in crop plants". He compared the light needs of 22 different types of crop plants so as to provide the most recent research on the spectral curve of plants showing their light needs.
The ELPL-Mc80 model offers an 80% match to the McCree curve, 100W output, 776.2 PPFD at 30.5 cm (12"), 120 degree beam-spread, and an efficiency of 3.02 µmol/J. Built on a PCB COB holder, this low-cost COB is available with quantity discounts.
The ELPL-Mc85 model offers an 85% match to the McCree curve, 100W output, 810.2 PPFD at 30.5 cm (12"), 120 degree beam-spread, and efficiency of 3.15 µmol/J – Built on a PCB COB holder, this COB is low priced and quantity discounts are available).
The ELPL-Mc90 model offers an 90% match to the McCree curve, 100W output, 685.1 PPFD at 30.5 cm (12"), 120 degree beam-spread, and efficiency of 2.74 µmol/J – Built on a PCB COB holder, this moderate-cost COB is a modestly-priced model and quantity discounts are available.
The ELPL-Mc95+ is our premium model which offers a 95+% match to the McCree curve, 100W and/or 200W output, 966.8 PPFD at 30.5 cm (12" - for the 100W model), 120 degree beam-spread, and efficiency of 2.97 µmol/J – Built on a standard nickel coated copper & plastic COB holder, at a premium cost - quantity discounts are available.
The Mc series of plant growing COBs achieves superior crop yields compared to 'white-light' and 'blue/red' type grow-lights. The ELPL-Mc 100W series works with any standard 100W heat-sink, and can utilize standard 100W accessories such as reflectors and lenses. The Mc series offers a 50,000 hour lifespan and is designed for installation into a protective housing.
