Blues Rock Band Nominated for 2019 Josie Music Award

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. - June 23, 2019 - PRLog -- Blues Recording Artist, Lightnin Rod Wilson along with his band The Thunderbolts have been nominated for the 2019 Josie Music Award for the Jazz/Blues Duo/Group of the year. This is the third year in a row the band has been nominated, bringing home the trophy for Duo/Group of the Year last year.

Rod is signed to Memphis Blues Records. Earlier this year he signed with A.M.I. Entertainment to place twenty three of his songs in digital jukeboxes throughout the United States, Canada and all American Territories including American Military Bases.

Rod's music has charted on radio in several markets around the country, as well as, markets in several other countries

Rod's music has been compared to "Eric Clapton meets Bob Seger at Muddy Waters' House"!  A blend of rock and soul deeply rooted in the blues with upfront cutting lyrics describes Rod's style.
