RALEIGH, N.C. - June 22, 2019 - PRLog -- Raleigh-based success coach Martin Brossman has been speaking to academic and corporate audiences for over twenty years, often advising his executive coaching clients to hone their speaking skills by participating in Toastmasters International, a worldwide non-profit network of clubs established in 1924.

Beginning his own Toastmasters journey with membership in Raleigh Talkmasters in 2017, Brossman enthusiastically joined forces with an innovative group of fellow Talkmasters sharing the goal of creating Video Mojo, a Toastmasters club focused on helping people become more comfortable speaking in front of a video camera. Video Mojo chartered on November 15th, 2018.

This video-centric concept was envisioned by business strategist Dave Baldwin, and supported by a founding team: Dan Scala, the co-founder of Wake Angels and founder of the Center for Excellence in Raleigh;  and Remy Heskett, Apple tech support manager. Martin Brossman was invited to join the team.

Volunteering to be the "camera and lights" media sponsor,  Brossman first set up an elaborate system with light, backdrop, and even a teleprompter--an arrangement which proved to be too time-consuming and not affordable for another club to duplicate. At Remy Heskett's suggestion, Brossman successfully switched to a smartphone on a tripod, and using a shotgun mic, keeping equipment cost under $100.

He remains enthusiastic about the impact of video communication, having completed Toastmasters Competent Communicator (CC) initiated at Talkmasters and completed through Video Mojo, where he is now starting on the Advanced track with the recently-unveiled Pathways, replacing the legacy Toastmasters educational curriculum.

Martin Brossman said, "The video camera forces you to develop a higher level of self-awareness, and that's uncomfortable for a lot of business owners. If you want to take your performance to the next level, you need to be willing to get out of your own way and let your real authentic brilliance come out."

Video Mojo Toastmasters meets every Monday morning at 7:45 at the Center for Excellence in North Raleigh.  Find complete information at VideoMojoToastmasters.com.
