CHARLESTON, S.C. - June 20, 2019 - PRLog -- Often women share their fertility journeys with others, but you don't always hear from the men. Recently, two of The Fertility Center of Charleston fathers share their fertility stories, and give an inside look at fertility through a father's eyes.

Jeff Yandle, will be celebrating his first Father's Day this weekend. He and his wife had been trying for several years on their own and then decided to seek help. He explains, "We had been trying for a couple of years, we could not believe it happened the first time with The Fertility Center of Charleston. We were very excited." His fertility journey included the use of an egg donor which is the use of cryopreserved donor oocytes which gives women with diminishing ovarian reserve exceptional chances to achieve a healthy pregnancy and a successful live birth.

Jeff is now a father to blue eyed Wesley, "He has been the best thing for us." He shares advice for other men who want to start a family, explaining, "Don't wait. There are a lot of things you can try on your own, but you are wasting time. Once Dr. Singleton pinpointed the problem, we were good to go."

Tim Mottley, a Johns Island resident and father of Clara, agrees. He explains, "I say go for it, try it, do it. It is much more a benefit to go this way than naturally with discouraging results. We were trying so hard on our own and came up empty."

Mottley and his wife's journey included in-vitro fertilization. In-vitro fertilization (IVF) is a method of infertility treatment in which the sperm and the egg (oocyte) are combined outside the body for fertilization to occur. A doctor then transfers the resulting embryo(s) to the uterus to develop naturally. Many couples often inquire about the cost of infertility, and Mottley has an immediate answer. He states, "The cost is a factor to consider. You weigh your options. Cost vs. value and value outweighs cost. We ended up with Clara and she's priceless."

At The Fertility Center of Charleston, Dr. Stephanie Singleton and her staff compassionately guide each patient to parenthood using the latest advanced reproductive technologies including IVF (https://www.fertilitycharleston.com/our-services/in-vitro...). The Fertility Center of Charleston has locations in Mt. Pleasant (https://www.fertilitycharleston.com/contact-us/mt-pleasant/) & Savannah (https://www.fertilitycharleston.com/contact-us/savannah/).
