Three community Volunteers honored for their tireless efforts in DeKalb County
A DeKalb County, Georgia based Non-profit, Honor Thy Father, Inc. has hosted an Awards Ceremony and Dinner to recognize three outstanding community Volunteer at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Tucker, Georgia.

Atlanta, GA - DeKalb County, Georgia based Non-profit, Honor Thy Father, Inc. has hosted an Awards Ceremony and Dinner to recognize three outstanding community Volunteer on June 15, 2019, at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Tucker, Georgia. The three Volunteers were honored for their hard work in communities in DeKalb County. They included Mr. Jerald Bryant Jr., a School Football Coach, Pastor Mauricio Sonny and Pastor Marty Barrett. These honorees were recognized for the guidance and counsel that they have provided to numerous individuals and single-parent households which are headed mainly by mothers.
It is their third consecutive year, during the Father's Day Weekend that Honor Thy Father Inc. has recognized and honored men who have tirelessly cared for the future generations by supporting single mothers in raising their children. The Annual Awards is named in honor of Mr. Eric N. Clark who for more than 25 years has voluntarily mentored countless young men.
Honor Thy Father Inc. was founded by Ms. Bertley Bernard, Chief Executive Officer of the Organization. Ms. Bernard stated, 'It was not my plan to be a single mother but as life's circumstances would have it, I was a single mom of four boys. Although I worked very hard to provide them with what they needed, I couldn't teach them to be men. I was blessed by a Community Volunteer who offered to assist in instilling values in my sons. Years later, The Lord impressed upon me to recognize men like Mr. Eric Clark who are often overlooked.'
Honor Thy Father, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3), non-profit organization based in DeKalb County, Georgia that honors and supports the efforts of men that guide single-parent households to develop our future generations in a wholesome manner.
