By: United Premier Soccer League The Dallas-based Pro Development soccer club posted a 9-1-2 overall record and in running away with the UPSL League One Central Conference North Division table to earn automatic promotion to UPSL Division II for the 2019 Fall Season. FF Premier CEO and Technical Director of FF Premier Sean Afkhaminia said, "We're happy to be taking that next step. We knew we were going to have a strong team, and we made a conscious decision to enroll in League One rather than UPSL Championship straight away. We knew that success will be dictated by the success of our top team, so we're very happy and it's exciting to be promoted in our first season." FF Premier won its final four games down the stretch to take 28 points from 12 league fixtures. "First, it was about meeting minimum standards and we didn't want bite off more than we can chew. Second, we wanted to make sure we saw success immediately, and so it worked out like we planned," Afkhaminia said. The Dallas (Texas)-based club has operated a youth academy and men's amateur team, which was the 2014 winner of the North Texas Premier Soccer Association's second division, and has twice been a playoff semifinalist in the league's competitive top flight. "This is the next piece in our puzzle and will go a long way toward really providing that platform for players to rise from grassroots level to the highest levels of the game and the sport. Now we have to continue taking those steps forward to push our level of competition and play at the highest level possible," Afkhaminia said. Footy Factory youth academy features numerous competitive team for both boys and girls, drawing more than 100 players, ages 8-to-19, from the surrounding area.
