Tax Expert and Advisor Barry G. Fowler, EA On Making Sure Important Paperwork Is Out Of Harm's Way
By: Taxation Solutions
Houston, TX – June 17, 2019 – Barry G. Fowler, CEO of Taxation Solutions, posted a new blog on the company website entitled "It's Hurricane Season. Be Prepared.," in which Mr. Fowler encourages readers to take a cue from the Boy Scouts.
Fowler states, "We have just entered into hurricane season and, as always, this time represents five full months of unknowns." He adds, "This makes me think of the Boy Scout motto: "Be Prepared.""
"Being as well prepared as possible for natural disasters whether they happen or not makes good common sense," says Fowler. He continues adding, "If you live in hurricane territory, like we do, it's important to have your important papers in a safe place. Your safe place might even be in another state at a relative's home far away from hurricanes. There are few places on the planet that are not subject to Mother Nature's whims, but there are plenty of places that are less frequented by her fury than others."
After sharing a few tips from the IRS, Fowler writes, "You certainly don't have to be a Boy Scout to recognize the importance of being prepared. That simply means you are always in a "state of readiness in mind and body to do your duty." According to Fowler,
A quick review of your papers could take just a few minutes. And a few minutes spent making sure you're prepared could be lifesaving should disaster strike."B
