Yoga Shanti NYC Yoga Teacher Training Graduates on GingerNewYork TV Show in New York City
In Honor of INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA 2019 Host Ginger Broderick Welcomes her Classmates from Yoga Shanti's Spring 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program. Manhattan Neighborhood Network TV Studios, Friday June 21, 2019, Spectrum 34 and HD 1995, 2pm.
Colleen Saidman Yee, along with her husband Rodney Yee and tenured teachers developed the Yoga Shanti method for teaching, which honors the traditions of yoga as well as the needs of modern, western bodies and minds. Recognized as one of the most welcoming, uplifting and safest styles of yoga to practice there truly is a place for anyone willing to step onto a yoga mat.
The Yoga Shanti method of practice is deeply established in the roots of the Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga traditions. However, the methodology taught in the classes, workshops and trainings are innovative and responsive to the changing needs of our culture. The teachers are in an ongoing conversation with other senior teachers across the nation to ensure the Yoga Shanti students are in touch with the best of the best.
The studio's schedule seeks to serve all populations of people from students to seniors; from the most agile to the most fragile; from the beginner to the senior teacher; and everyone in between of course.
The signature Yoga Shanti 200-Hour Teacher Training with veteran yoga teachers Colleen Saidman Yee, Rodney Yee, and an established senior Yoga Shanti faculty is designed to immerse you into the study of yoga, enrich and strengthen your personal practice, and prepare you to teach a set of safe Shanti-style sequences in a range of categories. Curriculum includes cultivating a daily home practice of asana, pranayama, and meditation; teaching skills including sequencing, seeing and understanding bodies, manual adjusting, and assisting, anatomy, philosophy, and chanting.
