National Semifinals and Final to be held July 28-29 in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex
By: United Premier Soccer League
UPSL Spring Semifinals are Saturday, July 27, followed by the UPSL Spring National Championship Final on Sunday, July 28 at Kangaroo Stadium in Weatherford (Texas).
United Premier Soccer League Commissioner Yan Skwara said, "The UPSL is excited for the opportunity to host its 2019 National Championship in Texas. Our national league has showcased the UPSL National Championship Game outside of California three of the last five seasons, and this time we're headed to North Texas and the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for the 2019 Championship. It'll be a tremendous weekend for the clubs and the league and we're appreciative of the planning efforts and coordination of the UPSL Central Conference, Weatherford FC and the City of Weatherford, Texas, in serving as hosts."
United Premier Soccer League National Director Matt Kahla said, "The UPSL Central Conference is so excited to be hosting 2019 Spring Championship Weekend! When the UPSL Committee was talking about scheduling the National Semifinals and the Championship, I thought, 'What is more centrally located than Texas?' With all in agreement, I reached out to all Central Conference teams and Weatherford FC stepped up. We will have top-notch hotel accommodations close by, indoor practice facilities if needed and an executive box for our sponsors. But be warned, expect hydration breaks and high temperatures because it's blazing hot in Texas in July, but that's how we like it!"
Weatherford FC will serve as Official Host Club of the 2019 UPSL National Championship.
Weatherford FC Director of Communications Robert Vance said, "It's almost hard to put into words how big we think this is, because this is Weatherford FC's inaugural season. From the beginning, Brandon Medrano and I wanted to try to be different. For us to be honored with hosting the UPSL Finals is incredible. I'm so excited to be a part of the UPSL and the UPSL Finals, and we're honored to be the organization to bring the UPSL Finals to Texas for the first time. We're really looking forward to having these incredible teams come here and compete in Weatherford. We're going to get to see some incredible soccer and we're so excited for it."
Kangaroo Stadium (250 Eureka St., Weatherford, TX 76086) will be the site of the UPSL 2019 Spring Season Semifinals, scheduled for 2 p.m. CT ad 5 p.m. CT, respectively, and the UPSL 2019 Spring National Championship Final at 12 p.m. CT on Sunday, July 28.
All games will be streamed at www.mycujoo.com.
The UPSL's 2018 Spring Season Semifinalists are yet to be determined. Seeding and pairings will be set prior to the kickoff of the first UPSL semifinal match.
