-- Singer-songwriter Claudia Gibson, recent Kerrville New Folk Finalist and winner of the 2018 Woody Guthrie Songwriting contest for her song "Dreamers," will perform her compelling Folk/Americana originals at Opening Bell Coffee on Saturday June 15 at 7PM. Claudia's most recent EP is entitled Louisiana Sky
, and like her previous CD Step By Step,
was produced by Gordy Quist of the Band of Heathens. Claudia was also a recent semi-finalist in the prestigious Songwriter's Serendade Compeition, held in Moravia, Texas this past May, and was a participating artist in the 2018 Dripping Springs Songwriter Festival. She lives in the beautiful hill country town of Wimberley, near Austin.
Since returning to live performing after taking several years off to raise a family, Claudia has been receiving increased recognition by those inside the Folk/Americana music scene and audiences alike. Her recent northeast tour included successful college and theatre dates in New York's Hudson Valley, her homebase before moving to Texas some twelve years ago.
Come relax at this iconic Dallas folk venue and hear an artist who has been described by Grammy-nominated composer David Lee as "a songwriter's songwriter."
