ACEC/MA Awards Taylor Labbe the Education Corporation President's Scholarship

BOSTON - June 4, 2019 - PRLog -- The American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA) has awarded the Education Corporation President's Scholarship to Taylor Labbe.

Labbe is in the senior year of her undergraduate studies at Northeastern University and will continue studying upon graduation to work towards a combined Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering. While earning two degrees at once, Labbe also found

time to intern at a local engineering firm, work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and volunteer her time at middle school science fairs and at an aid station for a 100-mile endurance run. In addition to being on Northeastern University's basketball cheerleading team, she is also

active in Northeastern's student organizations for the New England Water Environment Association, Engineers Without Borders, and the Society for Women in Engineering.

The 2019 Engineering Excellence Awards and Scholarships were announced at the recent ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence and Awards Gala with special guest emcees Jonathan L. Gulliver, Highway Administrator at MassDOT and Frederick A. Laskey, Executive Director of MWRA.

"We are pleased to recognize and assist the next generation of engineering professionals," said Michael J. Walsh, PE, President of ACEC/MA and Vice President of CDM Smith. "We congratulate Taylor on her outstanding achievements."
