Before joining Trez, Barry spent more than 10 years at Simmons Bank (formerly Southwest Bank) in Fort Worth, Texas. As regional president of Simmons Bank, he was personally responsible for a commercial real estate loan portfolio of more than $400 million. Last year, Barry closed more than $275 million in new commercial real estate loan commitments for the bank. Prior to his tenure at Simmons Bank, he gained nearly a decade of commercial real estate finance experience while serving as vice president for Frost Bank and Wells Fargo, respectively. Barry successfully completed the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking program, a partner of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He also received a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Christian University. Barry holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, one of the highest credentials in the investment management profession. He has been involved as a board member for the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, has served as a Capstone advisor at the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking, served as a previous finance chair for the YMCA of Arlington and was the chairman of the Southwest Bank fundraising team for March of Dimes.
