ACC302 Play-Offs...Round 1 is Done, Ready for Round 2

The play-offs have begun and the competitive rivalry is getting serious. It's do or die, single elimination, so everyone has to win to move forward. Round 1 brought us an expected win, and one surprise.

PLAY-OFFS-ROUND 1: Noble Nine vs C-City

NO BLAKE AND CHAD....NO PROBLEM! Noble Nine handled C-City today with a 45-37 victory, even without scoring leaders Blake and Chad. Most people would say you're not allowed to lose to Noble Nine if Blake and Chad aren't present. However, C-City managed to do just that. C-City was out-played in every which way today. Nobody on the team reached double figures. It was a sad display of basketball. The team seemed frustrated with the refs instead of themselves. B Pain seemed like he was the only player for C-City giving his all on the defensive end, but it wasn't enough. Kwana Chase got C-City up outta here in Round 1, carrying his team, Noble Nine, with 21pts, 9rebs, 4assts & 1blk. Noble Nine played excellent team ball today. An injury to J Word looked like it was gonna slow them up in the 2nd half, but they were able to overcome and conquer with some good play from Omar. Noble Nine needs to keep that same energy for Round 2.

Eastside moves on to the next round with Lerrie Tate's player of the game performance, being a huge factor! Lerrie played serious ball, coming out in the 1st half with three 3s and further setting up his teammates. Down at the half 19-18, Eastside kicked in defensively and held Free Agents to just 11pts in the 2nd half. TC chipped in with 11pts, 1stl & 1blk. Free Agents went downhill in the 2nd half as Eastside had them on lock. They couldn't score and they couldn't rebound the ball. Basically, they couldn't play ball because Eastside put that D on them. It was sad to watch at times. Nobody on the Free Agents team reached double figures. We say farewell to Free Agents.

Round 2 is sure to reveal some interesting surprises today, Sunday June 2. We look forward to seeing you all there to catch some great ball.
