Pine Leaf Boys to play at Knoxville Fais Do-Do Nov. 22

Bands Announced for Legacy Housing Foundation's Bodacious Benefit

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - May 29, 2019 - PRLog -- Legacy Housing Foundation has announced the bands that will play for this year's Fais Do-Do, a Cajun dance party and benefit for the nonprofit organization.  The event is Friday, Nov. 22 at The Standard, 416 W. Jackson Ave.

Four-time Grammy-Nominated Pine Leaf Boys will headline the show.  The world-renown Cajun band presents their own brand of Louisiana music reviving ancient songs and bringing them to the bandstand. They put a rock and roll spin on old fashion dance hall standards to create a sound for the ears as well as the feet. Rolling Stone said the band is "the next best thing to a Saturday night dance in Lafayette!" Roux du Bayou will open the set with a repertoire that includes old French and Creole ballads as well as present day Cajun sound.

Billed as a bodacious benefit, Fais Do-Do proves you don't have to be born in the Bayou to appreciate great Cajun music and dance. Tickets to Fais Do-Do are $35 and available online at Eventbrite.com. Doors open at 7 p.m. and show start is 7:30 p.m.  Beer and wine will be sold.

Legacy Housing Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that serves subsidized housing communities throughout East Tennessee by providing programs and goods for individuals and families with limited income. All proceeds from Fais Do-Do will go toward the Foundation.

Fais Do-Do sponsors include LHP Capital, WVLT Channel 8 and WDVX 89.9 FM. For more information, visit www.legacyhousingfoundation.org
