For over seven decades Bina McLoughin was the unquestioned queen of her small community in County Mayo winning the love and affection of many accused of using magic to curse and bring bad luck on others. Many of whom even begged her to remove her alleged spells against them on local radio. While all this took place the shepherdess was also whispered to have a hidden fortune and many other fantastic qualities in and around her, all of which add up to an outstanding narrative documentary about a one-of-a-kind woman who deserves to, and is, being remembered in this remarkable film.
"The Queen of Connemara" is available for viewing on Amazon Prime Video and Vimeo-on-Demand.
