AFEA Expands by Adding Chapter in Stafford, TX

Leader in Financial Education Continues to Expand Their Reach
 
STAFFORD, Texas - May 24, 2019 - PRLog -- The American Financial Education Alliance (AFEA) is dedicated to providing financial education and increasing financial literacy within communities all over the country. Today, the Board of Directors has chosen to continue to do just that, by unanimously voting Larry Mahoney as the new Chapter President of AFEA's Stafford, TX, #4679 chapter.

Larry Mahoney is grateful for his upbringing on a dairy farm in Iowa. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Marketing from the University of Northern Iowa. Upon graduation he moved to Texas and has enjoyed living in the Houston and Fort Bend County area for 35 years.

Larry has been in the financial services business for over 30 years. He has given dozens of seminars on retirement planning and college financing. He's worked with hundreds of parents of students at Houston area, faith-based high schools for over two decades on college funding strategies for their children that focus on preserving assets for their retirement years. Larry has earned the Certified Financial Plannerâ„¢ certification from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. ("CFP Board"). He provides financial planning services at a fiduciary standard of care acting in the best interests of his clients as required by that professional designation.

In his spare time Larry enjoys going on hikes in the local area and on trips with his wife June. He also enjoys working in his yard, following collegiate sports, exercising and weightlifting as well as singing in his church choir. Additionally, he enjoys participating in the activities of his church's charitable men's fraternal organization.

AFEA is thrilled to have Larry Mahoney join their team and assist them in their mission of creating financial clarity within communities all over the country.
