Rising Student Stars Shine At Pinellas County Scholarship Competition

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - May 24, 2019 - PRLog -- The Crown Automotive Group announced that, for the fourth consecutive year, the local dealer group would help sponsor the Walkers Rising Stars Scholarship Competition. Jim Myers, President and Chief Operating Officer at the Crown Automotive Group, and his wife Melissa have been the emcees for the past several years to help recognize the hard work of the students who compete for the chance to be a Walker's Rising Star.

Walker Rising Stars was the inspiration of Dr. Jeffrey Walker to reward student performers in Pinellas County with scholarship opportunities. 16 years later, it's still delivering on its mission to help exceptionally talented students use their skills to earn themselves scholarships. Students can compete in several categories, including dance, instrumental, theater, visual arts, vocals and culinary arts and this year competed for more than $40,000 in college scholarships and prizes.
