PRLog -- A native of Uruguay, Carolina Sosa has been making films for almost 10 years. She has received a plethora of accolades for her filmmaker including awards, grants and scholarships. Carolina most recently received her MFA from New York Film Academy and her film 'Exit the Shelter' received the Best Film award from the LA Television, Script and Film Festival. In 2013, she took on the role as Director for
Okurelo Cine, the first film festival for blind and deaf people in Uruguay, which received the Uruguayan Film Commission' Fund for Local Cinema Exhibitions. Post the success of this film festival, she was invited by the International film festival in Mexico,
CinemaFest to adapt movies for blind and deaf people.
V2M is excited to be working with Ms. Sosa. We can see that she has a true talent to see the truth of a story through the lens, not matter what the subject. Her work on the
PBS' series 'Where Cultures Collide' caught our eye and we instantly knew we needed to work with her.
Carolina's highly anticipated documentary,
'Trumphobia: What Both Sides Fear' is set to be released this year. It focuses on the rhetoric of the President and how it has negatively affected both his supporters and opponents alike.
