PODIATRIC FOOT CARE

Diabetes can have a serious impact on your feet—with the most severe cases resulting in amputation—yet podiatry is one of the most overlooked aspects of diabetes management. The American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) recommends that diabetics see a podiatrist at least once a year to prevent complications.

OPTHAMOLOGIC EYE CARE

Diabetic eye disease can be devastating, leading to severe vision impairment or blindness. But early detection and treatment can reduce the risk of blindness by 95 percent. The National Eye Institute recommends that diabetics undergo a comprehensive  eye exam at least once a year.
