-- NATIONAL WEBINAR — Join Social Security's Ticket to Work (Ticket) program on May 22, for the next Work Incentives Seminar Event (WISE) webinar, "Ticket to Work: Working with a Mental Illness."
In recognition of Mental Health Month, the Ticket program team will discuss how work can contribute to an individual's path to recovery in addition to the supports and services offered to people with mental illnesses (or other disabilities)
who are eligible for the Ticket program. This will include an overview of how the Ticket program works, service providers and other Work Incentives that may help during the transition to the workplace. They'll also discuss how reasonable accommodations can play a role in a person's workplace success and offer tips on managing stress during a job search.
The Ticket program supports career development for people ages 18 through 64 and receives Social Security disability benefits (SSDI or SSI). Through this free and voluntary program, eligible people with disabilities can find the supports and services they need to succeed on the path to financial independence through work. Monthly Work Incentives Seminar Event (WISE) webinars provide more information about the program and other resources that may help people with disabilities find and maintain work.
