Historic Scenic Railroad Near Mount Rainier National Park to Host Exciting Adults-Only Special Events and Thrilling Holiday-Themed Excursions for the Entire Family in 2019

ELBE, Wash. - May 14, 2019 - PRLog -- The Mt. Rainier Railroad and Logging Museum (MRRR)™, which offers distinctive year-round rail experiences and special events to passengers of all ages in the beautiful, forested foothills near Mt. Rainier National Park, today unveiled its standard and first-class ticket prices, full weekend excursion schedule, and expanded special events calendar for 2019.

The railroad also announced tickets are now on sale for all regular excursions and most special events through its website at http://mtrainierrailroad.com, or by calling the MRRR's reservations hotline at (360) 492-6000.

The MRRR kicks off its 2019 operations on May 25-26 with twice-daily excursions to Mineral. Beginning the first weekend in July, and continuing almost every weekend through the end of September, the railroad will offer two daily excursions every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The company's exciting special events collection begins Sat., June 15 with the first of three Rails to Ales craft beer experiences. In 2019, the Hard Cider Express takes place on Sat., Aug. 10, while later in the month on August 31, the railroad stages its first of three Washington Wine Express trips. This unique, immersive culinary and viticultural experience features award-winning vintages from a diverse array of Washington wineries, and the opportunity for guests to directly interact with the vintners who produce these delicious varietals. Finally, the MRRR concludes its 2019 schedule with two highly-popular, family-oriented holiday events:  the PEANUTS™ The Great Pumpkin Patch Express and THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride.

"In preparation for the beginning of the 2019 season, the Mt. Rainier Railroad and Logging Museum has expanded the railroad's portfolio of special events to creatively cater to a broader section of guests with myriad interests," said Bethan Maher, general manager of the Mt. Rainier Railroad and Logging Museum. "We anticipate this strategy, coupled with the railroad's beautiful weekend excursions to Mineral, will enable a greater cross-section of guests, from all over the country, to experience the fun, beauty, and history of the MRRR in new and exciting ways."
