I Dont Understand Why My Phase 1 Evironmental Assessment Missed Historic Oil Tank Contamination

Missing areas of historic environmental contamination is often common in a Phase I Environmental Assessment . Sometimes over the years municipalities lose records.

EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. - May 11, 2019 - PRLog -- Many  lending institutions believe that the Phase I Environmental Assessment is all that this needed to properly understand the historical back round of the property, Historic insurance maps an aerial photographs can only provide limited information.  Environmental Systems believes no Phase I Environmental  Assessment is complete without at least completing a Ground Penetrating Radar scan for buried structures and tanks. The State databases are pretty good and case numbers dating back 40 years  can identify some historic contaminated sites.Purchasers of commercial property should not rely just on a Phase 1  Environmental Assessment. A Phase 2 Environmental Assessment includes Soil and ground sampling that can tell in real time what areas of Environmental Concern or contamination that may be on the site. A Clean- up on a contaminated site often easily exceeds $ 100,000. Environmental Systems is a full service company providing Environmental Assessment Tank Removal and Remediation services.
