Premier Health CEO, Steve Sellars, Elected President of Urgent Care Foundation

BATON ROUGE, La. - May 13, 2019 - PRLog -- Premier Health is proud to announce its continued commitment to leadership in the urgent care industry. Steve Sellars, CEO of Premier Health has been selected by his peers to serve as the President of the Urgent Care Foundation Board of Trustees.

As President, Sellars will work with its trustees to provide leadership for key philanthropic and research initiatives on behalf of the urgent care industry. The UCF positioned itself in helping solve some of the country's top health care problems. Initiatives include:

• Antibiotic Stewardship
• Disaster Preparedness & Response
• Early Diabetes Detection

During Sellars' tenure as CEO, Premier Health has earned a reputation for taking the lead on important issues like those listed above. Premier Health has already launched aggressive programs to track and act on any instances of over-prescribing antibiotics and opioids. These efforts have been implemented at all of Premier Health's joint-venture clinics. Under Sellars' leadership, Premier Health also became the first urgent care company to obtain Urgent Care Association Accreditation for all of its centers in its home state of Louisiana and now across its network of nearly 60 health system joint-venture urgent care clinics.
