SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - May 10, 2019 - PRLog -- The Chuck Jones Center for Creativity Chicago, along with the backyard EXPERIENCE, are very excited to be coming together with the Harper College InZone program in the effort to encourage kids to show-off their creative sides for a second year. Through this partnership, Harper College's summer program InZone is offering three artistic, educational classes that teach participants a wide variety of creative tasks. Those include how to draw classic Chuck Jones's cartoons like Marvin the Martian, paint in a studio environment, and bring their work to life by producing 3-D sculptures and inventions. There are many options that provide the opportunity for students to learn and grow as young artists, ultimately pushing the boundaries of their creative potential.

"The results of last summer's InZone classes brought to light the higher-level results that we have been looking for in our program. The instruction the students received was excellent and the results that we are able to see brought their art work to a level that was unrealized previously. We look forward to this being a long-term relationship for both the InZone program and for our adult students as well." says Scott Cashman, Harper College Continuing Education Manager for Personal and Cultural Enrichment.

Available at the Harper College InZone program for kids ages 11-14 beginning June 10th Bugs Bunny's Mix It Up and Paint like a pro class.  The kids will enjoy learning drawing, painting, and collage techniques through color, tools, texture, shape and brush strokes.  The next class starts July 8th called Acme Inventors and the Third Dimension.  Create and build simple machines like Acme Road Runner Catching Device and more.  The third-class starting July 22nd is Sylvester Presents Cartooning and Jr. Animator. During this class, the kids are able to put together their own flip book, create an animation cell, and learn the basic techniques of Chuck Jones animation. Classes run through August 2, and take place anywhere from 9am – 12pm at the backyard EXPERIENCE/ 3MA Studios. Campers will be bused daily from Harper Campus, and then returned. "I am so excited to be partnering with Harper College for this InZone program for a second year.  I really enjoyed working with the kids and watching their creativity grow through the sessions last year. I cannot wait to continue with this program and bring more creativity and imagination to the Harper College students."  Ben Olson, Teacher and Director of the backyard EXPERIENCE.

About The Chuck Jones Center for Creativity Chicago

In our quest to inspire Imagination & Creativity we partnered with the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity, Orange County. Using Chuck Jones philosophies and his classic Looney Tunes characters, we provide a variety of programs and events for the general public, education, child life services in healthcare and special needs.

We teach our students, both young and young of heart, to nurture the creative genius that exists in all of us. We connect both left and right sides of the brain in exercising creativity to solve problems, foster innovation and build mental health. As we share similar missions, we are proud to be the first Chuck Jones Center for Creativity charter dedicated to re-invigorating the creative spirit.
