SHIP BOTTOM, N.J. - May 13, 2019 - PRLog -- The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce Downtown Driven program Water Ferry Committee with representatives of Borough of Beach Haven, Borough of Tuckerton, Tuckerton Seaport & Baymen's Museum,  Southern Ocean Chamber and Ocean County Planning Department proudly announce the 2019 Tuckerton Seaport- Beach Haven Water Ferry powered by Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce scheduled which will include a new online reservation system beginning June 1. The service will depart from Tuckerton Seaport and Taylor Avenue Municipal Dock in Beach Haven. The pontoon boat seats 25 passengers in a comfortable and covered voyage in the newly classified Category 1 waterway. In addition to travel, the ferry service will help educate its visitors and residents alike on the importance of protecting the local water system.

The Water ferry will run between the Tuckerton Seaport (https://tuckertonseaport.org/) Lighthouse dock and the Taylor Avenue dock in Beach Haven on Saturdays, Sunday, and Mondays from July 4th weekend through Labor Day with a special Chowderfest Express schedule in October. There is no fee to ride the ferry, but if you prefer to reserve your seat, advanced reservations can be made online at www.lbiferry.com . Guests have the option of reserving at $10 per person for a round trip or use the Stand By Line at the dock. Passengers can ride the ferry departing from Tuckerton at 8am, 11am , 2pm and 5pm or leave from Beach Haven at 9:30am, 12:30pm, 3:30pm or 6:30pm. The dates of service are July 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 30, August 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, 31; September 1, 2, 28, 29 and Chowderfest Weekend October 5 and 6.

The Downtown Driven Water Ferry Program recently received a NJ Tourism Excellence President's Award at the New Jersey Tourism Industry Association presentation with Governor Murphy on May 9 in Trenton.
