By: Intracoastal Construction
"This style home is a brand new to our area," said Rod Kimberley. "The spec is a British West Indies style home focusing on clean, linear lines. It's a contemporary twist on the traditional designs you would find on the Islands of Trinidad and the British West Indies," he added.
The company has plans to build a second spec home next door at 2208 S. Central when 2212 is complete. They broke ground in February and the home is estimated to be complete next month. "We have plans to build on other lots in Flagler Beach as well," said Robbie Richmond.
The "Bimini" model is a 3-bedroom, 2-1/2 bath home with a second floor open great room, dining area, and master suite with guest bath, including an ocean view sunrise balcony.
The floor includes 2-car garage, large entry, two guest bedrooms with full bath and utility room. The downstairs opens to a lanai with sunset views. There is a space for a future elevator, granite counter tops throughout, Moen faucets, Kohler tubs and water closets, 16 Seer Trane XR variable speed HVAC with aluminum coils for salt air conditions, and a A.O. Smith Hybrid 66 gallon water heater.
The home is all block construction, has shingles with metal accent roof, Bahama decorative shutters on the front elevation with powder coated aluminum railing, a brick paver driveway, walkway, entry, and lanai.
The entire house has Low-E vinyl impact glass windows and aluminum 8' sliders. Landscape and irrigation are included, along with a GE Security System with 2-control pads and sensors on first floor windows and doors. It has Icynene foam Attic Insulation, Core filled 500 foam injected concrete block walls, and Nest Wi-fi thermostats. The list price is $629,000.

Prior to moving to Flagler County in 1996, Rod Kimberley ran the Washington, DC office of ITT for eight years and moved to Palm Coast to work as the company's National Sales Manager. Palm Coast was conceived in 1969 when ITT Corporation bought several thousand acres of land in Flagler County to develop a massive Planned Unit Development (PUD) community. After a year, ITT started to divest. Rod applied for and received the Arthur Rutenberg franchise. Arthur Rutenberg is one of America's largest luxury home franchises. The first year, the company built approximately 15 homes. They grew to build a total of 360 homes over the years. Rod established lasting relationships with area real estate brokers and realtors.
Barb is a former Flagler County teacher and joined Arthur Rutenberg in 2003.As a former elementary school teacher, she brings her attention to detail and a commitment to customer satisfaction to every custom home they build. With her hard work and success, Barb was twice in the Arthur Rutenberg Homes Sales Top Club. She now looks forward to bringing these same skills to working with clients at Intracoastal Construction.
