Daughter of survivors promotes hope over hate with book and presentation

John Franken survived the Nagasaki atomic bomb as a Prisoner of War in Japan. His wife, Sonja, survived the concentration camps in Nazi Europe, including Auschwitz. After witnessing and experiencing the worst of humanity first-hand, they found everlasting love, against all odds. With the rise in mass shootings and hate crimes, their story of survival over suffering, hope over hate and triumph over tragedy, as told by their daughter, Roslyn Franken, needs to be heard now more than ever.

MIAMI & NEW YORK & LOS ANGELES - May 7, 2019 - PRLog -- As an author and professional speaker, Roslyn shares her parents' life story filled with positive messages of hope, strength and peace in a book she wrote and multimedia stage presentation she delivers entitled Meant to Be: A True Story of Might, Miracles and Triumph of the Human Spirit.

Roslyn travels across North America telling her parents' story to diverse audiences of all ages and backgrounds from students to seniors, faith-based groups to community organizations, corporations, cancer groups and more.

In 2018 Roslyn travelled to Parkland, Florida to bring hope and healing to the class that was shot into by the gunman at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. This event marked the launch of her Student Speaking program in the United States to give young people a unique opportunity to: Boost their awareness, compassion and empathy for the experiences of victims and survivors of WWII in Europe and Asia; Learn about the dangers of discrimination, and what bullying, hate and evil can lead to if we don't stop it; Embrace a greater spirit of interfaith and interracial tolerance, respect, community and peace so needed in our world today; and be inspired with a greater sense of hope, courage and gratitude to better their own lives and help make our world a better place.

Her presentation has been described as "emotionally charged, uplifting and presented in a manner that is both entertaining and inspiring".

Roslyn's book has been adapted for production as a feature-length movie that is currently in development through Five Star Studios Inc.

Roslyn is available for media interviews and speaking engagements.
