NextWave Safety Solutions Inc. to Host 2nd Annual Safety Stand-Down Event in Support of OSHA

PHILADELPHIA - May 6, 2019 - PRLog -- NextWave Safety Solutions, Inc., a sister company of The Safety Group Ltd., will host its second annual safety stand-down event at its Philadelphia office. This event is in support of National Safety Stand-Down, an annual week of awareness created by The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to raise awareness among employers and workers about the hazards and falls in the construction industry.

Falls are the leading cause of construction site accidents resulting in injury or death, according to OSHA, yet falls are preventable with proper safety equipment and training.  "Just by taking the time to review the proper safety practices required to protect employees from falls, these industry partners are helping to save lives," said OSHA Regional Administrator Richard Mendelson.  "This collaboration is one of many taking place this year in an effort to prevent avoidable accidents due to fall hazards."  More than one million workers have participated each year in the National Safety Stand-Downs.

The NextWave event will include speakers and industry experts from OSHA, Med-Tex, MSA, United Rentals, and the GBCA.  Additionally there will be construction equipment onsite, demonstrations of NextWave Safety's virtual reality safety training systems, and refreshments.  Held at the NextWave Safety office at 38 Jackson Street, this free event is open to the public with registration via Eventbrite.  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-safety-group-nextwave-sa...
