Richmond natives develop streaming platform for Indie artists

RICHMOND, Va. - May 17, 2019 - PRLog -- Ethan Evans, the owner of 7th Level Marketing LLC, a full service advertising and tech development agency based in Highland Springs, VA has launched IndieTube,, a streaming platform dedicated to up-and-coming independent music artists and filmmakers. The website allows for independent artists to submit music videos and films, and for indie genre fans to have a platform that exposes them to new content. Partners and Richmond natives Ethan Evans and record label partner (CFO) Rommie Longs conceived the idea in August of 2018 as a way to provide a designated place specifically for independent artists and art lovers in search of their unique content.

The site, soon to be available in app form for both iOS and Google Play, combines popular features of both YouTube and social media platforms. IndieTube encompasses what many artists and filmmakers are in search of—a place to freely provide the world with their content. IndieTube, unlike other platforms for independent artists, allows for users to upload and publish their content without needing the approval of site owners. This allows for artists to eliminate the middleman as they expand the reach of their creative content.

Since its debut in the fall of 2018, IndieTube has:

• Received over 22,000 views from multiple regions in the United States, The United Kingdom, China, and more
• Published more than 170 videos from independent artists
• Constructed a self-service advertising process similar to Facebook, allowing artists to set a budget that best fits their needs and finances

For co-founder Ethan Evans, the creation of IndieTube is essentially the creation of opportunity, specifically for artists who feel they lack visibility in the music and film industry.

"This platform is for artists in [the independent music and film industries] to showcase their work," Evans says. "The goal is a connection across industries— music producers can meet music artists and communicate on the platform. We want people to know IndieTube is user-friendly."
