Brampton Toastmaster elected District 86 Leader

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - May 2, 2019 - PRLog -- Members of District 86 Toastmasters elected Brampton resident Jacklyn Payne as the new District Director for the 2019-2020 year at the recently concluded District Annual General Business Meeting. Her new role will take effect on July 1st.

Payne, a Distinguished Toastmaster will provide leadership and guidance to over 4,400 Toastmasters in over 235 clubs. Her team of 13 Division Directors, over 70 Area Directors, Executive and Administrative Officers will focus on club growth and strengthening across South Western, Central and Northern Ontario.

Payne joined Toastmasters in 2006 to improve her communication and leadership skills. She held various club and district officer roles, starting as a Club Secretary of Brampton Toastmasters 13 years ago up to her current role as Program Quality Director. She was District 86 Toastmasters Area Director of the Year in 2012, Division Director of the Year in 2016 and has chaired in many district projects and initiatives.

Payne's focus will center on the Toastmaster Member. "The back bone of our organization is the education program and the single most important factor is the member." she said. "My goal is to utilize my skills, experience and knowledge from previous roles to help members have a positive and rewarding experience through the service we provide".

The District 86 Council elected other leaders for the 2019 – 2020 Toastmasters year. Payne is joined by Distinguished Toastmasters Jocelyne Vezina, Program Quality Director and Clifford Graham, Club Growth Director.
