William Michael Cunningham on Opportunity Zones, Impact Investing & Blockchain at FPA Retreat

WASHINGTON - May 1, 2019 - PRLog -- The The 2019 FPA Annual Retreat will be held at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines in L Jolla, California from May 6th to May 9th.

The Financial Planning Association® (FPA®) is the largest membership organization for CFP® professionals in the U.S. and also includes members who support the financial planning process.

According to organizers, "One needs only to speak with past attendees for a few moments to recognize that they view FPA Retreat as a genuinely unique experience in the world of professional events. The secret, they say, is deeper than the session content or the location, and lies in its spirit..."

Mr. Cunningham will host a session titled "Impact Investing, Opportunity Zones and Blockchain." He will discuss the role of new financial technologies, like blockchain, in the development of the new impact investing space. He will also discuss the newest national community development program, the Opportunity Zones Program out of the US Treasury.

He will define impact investing, Opportunity Zones and blockchain.
He will hlp atendeed understand how blockchain may be used to track the social impact of Opportunity Zone investments.
Finally, Mr. Cunningham will identify the components of Opportunity Zone Investing as they relate to tax reduction/management techniques

The session will be held on Tuesday, May 7 at 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM. Location: Grande Ballroom B  CE: 1 - The session will be eligible for FPA continuing education (CE) credit. FPA reports continuing education credit to the CFP Board two times each month. If you have completed the CE credits within the last one or two weeks, they will be included with the next submission to the CFP Board.
