- April 30, 2019
-- The next two rounds of talks begin today, Tuesday April 30, 2019, in Beijing, with a follow up predetermined back in Washington D.C. next month.
Both sides remain locked as the year long trade war ensues. The U.S. has imposed tariffs tallying $250 billion in Chinese imports, while China directly reacted with $110 billion in U.S. imports.
A significant caveat currently resulting in inconclusive decisiveness remains to be held within the mechanisms with which enforcement will be delivered to guarantee full committal on China's side. While this juncture is in the final phases, it is one that must be comprehensively vetted.
After discussions wrap up this week in Beijing, additional dialogue will commence again beginning May 8, 2019 back in the States (D.C.).
