Villa Healthcare Team Bids Fond Farewell To Honoree COO

SKOKIE, Ill. - April 29, 2019 - PRLog -- Almost 100 Skokie support staff streamed into the street, waving enormous cardboard cut-outs of COO Dave Devereaux's mustached face, in preparation of his departure to Philadelphia for a much-deserved award.  The limo arrived as Dave stepped out into the chanting crowd, reflecting the passion and enthusiasm that Dave has brought since joining Villa in June 2017.  Dave brought with him 40-years of healthcare experience, a gravelly voice, thick mustache and a desire to make Villa a fun place.

More than just a good time guy, Dave's team praises his authenticity, transparency and inspiring leadership.  Taking care of others is a motto for Dave, "when we take very good care of people – those we serve, and those with whom we work – business results take care of themselves." During Dave's time at Villa, the company has grown exponentially and continues to thrive under his tutelage.

Dave, considered one of the best and most well-known operators in long-term care, is to be honored by Temple University's Fox School of Business as a Centennial Honoree.  Centennial Honorees are recognized as "the most influential people in our school's lineage… highlighting individuals who have made a significant impact on our school, the community, or the business world at large."

In addition to his award-receiving and responsibilities at Villa Healthcare, Dave also enjoys spending time with his wife and taking in the occasional Chicago Fire soccer game.  "If you don't balance your life, you will not be able to perform over the long run," he said. "If you're not taking care of yourself, you are not taking care of your employer either."
