The Bavarian Inn served more than 71,000 housemade pretzels to its guests just last year. 31,000 of those were from the Castle Shop Bakery, located in the lower level of the Restaurant. Their on-the-go pretzels are perfect for those who want to celebrate pretzel day quickly, and their pretzel treats for dogs can let guests' furry friends in on the fun.

National Pretzel Day originated in Pennsylvania when Governor Ed Rendell, whose state boasts an abundance of German family pretzel bakers, declared it an official observance in 2003.
