NEW YORK - April 18, 2019 - PRLog -- The event is giving independent artists a chance to display their talents, many of which get overlooked in the oversaturated music industry. Many artists really struggle trying to make it in the industry making many sacrifices and remaining unnoticed. The event gives arists the opportunity to open for legendary MC's Black Rob and Rah Digga and get their chance to shine. The independent artists that will be performing are Svb Zero, Jpree, Eli, Prince Jay,  Sir Gregolas, Gq Blanco, Kyza Bandz, Malik, Libra Queen, La Cotto and Moriece from the Discipline and Honor Music Group movement.

The event will be hosted by Carmen B. and is produced by Elijah Harmon and Tye Brown.

The historic National Black Theatre  was founded in 1968 in the heart of Harlem by the late Dr. Barbara Ann Teer, an award winning, visionary artist and entrepreneur. With a distinguished history of innovative work in its community, NBT is among the oldest Black Theaters in the country, and amongst the longest owned and operated by a woman of color.

The event is to raise funds for WOEM to achieve the following goals:

• Purchasing their first venue location or rental location

• Budget for feeding women and children, especially young teen parents

• Budget for intimate Fashion shows, HIP HOP, R&B and Latin events

• Budget for health awareness education materials towards women and children

• Budget for women, children and women circle meetings

Budget for promotional stickers, hats, posters, T-shirts and online promotional commercials marketing materials

Elijah Harmon and Tye Brown want to make a positive change in the world as warriors in a battle within our communities to advocate for education and safety awareness. They believe in uplifting women because it takes a village to raise our children, and with our women being uplifted, the future (our children) will have a better chance surviving the stressors of today.

THE WOEM are advocates for the uplifting of women of all hues in our community. The organization annually supports the walk for Cancer, and HIV/AIDS Awareness. They have done many charity events which feed the homeless and provided clothing for people in need. Their mission is to help women and children living in shelters.  They are against the maltreatment of women, including rape, verbal, physical and mental abuse. Their goal is to elevate the minds of communities mentally and physically, through live music and entertainment, in hopes of doing more as their organization grows.
