TAMPA, Fla. - April 18, 2019 - PRLog -- On Friday, April 12th, a group of human rights advocates from around America gathered to receive the prestigious Presidential Volunteer Service Award in Washington D.C. Christopher King, a Tampa Bay resident known as "The Gentleman of Tampa", was awarded for working with Florida Youth.
Florida is known for its school shootings, its human trafficking and its massage parlors. It's also known for its efforts to combat human trafficking by community activists, such as Christopher King the Founder of The Gentlemen's Course.

The Gentlemen's Course (TGC) is a non-profit focused on inspiring youth to become the future of tomorrow. It teaches them the basics of how to treat women; it teaches girls how to carry themselves as ladies and expect to be treated; it combines anti-human trafficking awareness and human rights education to give youth a platform which they can use to protect themselves. TGC partnered with Youth for Human Rights Florida (YHR), the largest non-governmental human rights educational program that teaches youth what their inalienable 30 human rights are form the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Mr. King may be the grandson of Late Blues legend, B.B. King, but his life didn't come on a silver platter. He experienced life from the top down and from the bottom up, and he has seen the struggles that youth have to go through. That is why he decided to found The Gentlemen's Course. To date, he has educated thousands of youth around Florida, and in other countries, inspiring them to change. The motto of TGC is "We change our youth, they change our future."

Last Friday was Mr. King's second time receiving the honored Presidential Volunteer Service Award. He received his first award in 2017 from President Obama. He now spends most of his days delivering seminars to schools and community organizations across Florida. As Mr. King puts it: "If nothing changes, nothing changes. We can't wait for 'someone else' to help our youth and to create the world we wish to live in. If I can help just one person become a better person, I consider I lived a life worth living."

Christopher King is also featured on the Scientology Network with his own show on Voices for Humanity showcasing all of the work he has done in Florida. You can watch it at https://www.scientology.tv/series/voices-for-humanity/christopher-king.html.
