CARROLLTON, Texas - April 17, 2019 - PRLog -- Operation Kindness, the original and largest no-kill animal shelter in North Texas, is hosting their 11th annual Hope Gala Saturday, April 27, at the House of Blues in Dallas.

The Hope Gala, Operation Kindness' premier event, raises money to help provide medical treatment, rehabilitation, food and shelter to homeless cats and dogs in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In 2018, Operation Kindness found homes for 4,825 animals. Since their founding in 1976, Operation Kindness has rescued and rehomed more than 105,000 cats and dogs.

"For the past 40 years, we have saved the lives of more than 105,000 animals, caring for an average of 300 animals daily with another 100 animals in foster homes," said Natalie Buxton, Director of Communications, "We are currently under construction of our phase one, $12 million capital campaign, where we are building a 14,600-square-foot animal hospital. The Hope Gala provides critical funding to save the lives of homeless pets in North Texas."

The 11th annual Hope Gala is an elegant evening where guests enjoy a plated, four-course dinner with an open bar stocked with top-shelf spirits, live music from Ricki Derek and the Vegas Six , dancing, a silent auction, and of course a few furry friends from Operation Kindness.
