Polyurethane foam for automotive roofing and other sound acoustic filtering
Polyurethane (PU) is a compound used in a many industrial and consumer applications. Primarily, it is a plastic compound which can be rigid or flexible or foamed. These capabilities expand PU's application to a broad area.
Polyurethane foams are manufactured through the reaction of glycol (Polyol), an isocyanate (TDI)(toluene diisocyanate)
Polyurethane foams are either open cell structured which contain pores that are connected to each other or closed cell which do not have interconnected pores. However, closed cell foams have higher compressive strength due to their structures. Closed cell foams are also generally denser which may require more material and consequentially are more expensive to produce.
On top of Polyurethane (PU), MYKE Technologies also supply Polyethylene foam (all range of PE foams), Expanded Polyethylene foam (EPE foam), Expanded Polyurethane foam (other range of PU foams), Expanded Polystyrene foam (EPS foam) and Ethylene Vinyl Acetate foam (EVA foam), PET Felt, and many other foam materials to produce products used in sealing, thermal, acoustic, insulation and many other applications.
