WASHINGTON - April 15, 2019 - PRLog -- A devastating fire engulfed the iconic Notre Dame cathedral in Paris on Monday, April 15, just days before Easter Sunday. CAF America has responded by creating the AMERICAN NOTRE-DAME CATHEDRAL RESTORATION FUND.
This fund will allow donors in the United States to make tax-effective gifts in direct support of the restoration of Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris. The Cathedral is considered to be one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture, revered around the world as a symbol of the French idea of freedom. Emergency response crews have successfully saved the 850-year old Cathedral from total destruction, and soon plans will be underway by French authorities to restore this world monument. CAF America will do all it can to make sure that Americans who wish to contribute can do so in a tax-effective way.
"We are all deeply shaken by the devastating fire at the beautiful Notre-Dame Cathedral," says Ted Hart, CEO and President of CAF America. "An iconic landmark of Paris and the World, the Cathedral is part of our universal cultural heritage. As an organization committed to enabling cross-border charitable giving, CAF America stands ready to assist US donors wanting to support the important recovery efforts that will be needed."
To make a contribution to the fund, donors can visit CAF America's website at www.cafamerica.org, or contact Ted Hart, President and CEO of CAF America, at (202) 793-2232. All charitable donations made to this restricted fund will be used to help recovery efforts for this important institution.
