New Routes and Hanger Party this Year for 16th Annual Cycle Flagler on May 5th, 2019

PALM COAST, Fla. - April 16, 2019 - PRLog -- The Rotary Club of Flagler Beach is excited to host the Club's 16th Annual Cycle Flagler Ride for Rotary charity event on May 5^th, 2019. The event supports Rotary's local and international projects. The start – or 'kickstands up', as well as the pre and post-event festivities and food, will take place at the Flagler Executive Airport, located at 201 Airport Rd., Palm Coast.

"The feedback we get from cyclists about this event is always positive," said Flagler Beach Rotarian and Event Director Roy Sieger. "The sponsors and participants tell us that they feel good about supporting the event because they know that their contributions go toward doing good in our community and in the world – besides that, our Rotary club knows how to have a good time," Roy added.

Due to road construction on Ocean Shore Blvd. in Flagler Beach this year, the ride has new routes available on http://www.flaglerbeachrotary.org/. Also new this year is a pre-race hangar party the night before the ride, Saturday, May 4th at 5:30PM. Participants can also pick up their ride packets that night. The food for the hangar party and lunch after the ride will be provided by WARM (Women Assisting Recovering Mothers) in Bunnell. "We will offer a Cinco de Mayo themed meal in celebration of the holiday on May 5th," said WARM Chef Kevin Gallagher.

Cycle Flagler will kick off at 8:00 am at the Flagler Executive Airport and will offer a 23, 40, 75 and 100 mile ride option. The route goes through some of the area's most scenic roads. Registration and sponsorship opportunities for both events are available at flaglerbeachrotary.org.

The event is expected to attract cyclists from throughout Florida and beyond. The well-established event has become a not-to-be-missed ride for both local cyclists and visitors who travel from many states to participate. The event's SAG stops are also well-known for providing top-notch food and drinks, as well as encouragement and cheer during the ride.
