DETROIT - April 10, 2019 - PRLog -- Award‐winning Detroit non‐profit Jackets for Jobs will hold its 19th anniversary luncheon celebration, Suit UP & Boss UP on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at MGM Grand Detroit Casino. The keynote speaker, very befitting for this year's theme and call to action, is Emmy and NAACP Image award winning talk show host, comedian and Detroit native Loni Love.

Loni Love is currently a co‐host of The Real, the one‐hour daily talk show on FOX stations now renewed for its fifth and sixth seasons. "I am honored to have Loni Love as our keynote speaker and this year's theme is most definitely a call to action for the work that still needs to be done", said Vaughn. Women have made great and historic accomplishments but we still have lots more to do and we must "Suit Up & Boss Up" and get it done." This year's luncheon will be exciting and uplifting with everyone leaving inspired on and on fire for the next phases of greatness," said Vaughn. Tickets are $40 and the first 100 attendees will receive a free TJ MAXX gift card.

Vaughn has been a pillar in the community for more than 19 years helping people transition from welfare and joblessness to employment. She has worked diligently through her Detroit‐based nonprofit to cultivate the success of others by providing etiquette, grooming tips and clothing. Vaughn just returned from an overseas trip to Bangkok, Thailand as part of a 12 woman delegation for 10th Annual Woman's Leadership and Empowerment Conference (WLEC 2019) where she was a featured speaker on "How To Be A GOAL Digger ‐ Achieving Your Goals".

"This has been two decades of rewarding hard work and I never thought that my passion to help people move to their next phase in life through providing necessary clothing and information, would be so fulfilling and impactful," said Vaughn. "You always hope your passion will flourish and sustain over time. This year has really started as a whirlwind blessing and this is our annual celebration for the community we serve." "I look forward to many more years of serving," said Vaughn.

Vaughn was also named HOUR Magazine's Women Who Drive Detroit and Crain's 2018 Notable Women in Non‐Profits.

"Notable Women in Nonprofits build endowments, programming and relationships for the organizations that they help lead. They secure donors, advocate for change and search nonstop for new and creative approaches to fundraising," said Crain's Detroit Business. Vaughn is among 59 women nominated by their peers at work and in the community.

Vaughn is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. She is a member of the National Association of Nonprofit Associations' executive Board of Governors and has received numerous awards and recognition for her work. Her awards include Martha Stewart "Dreamers into Doers" award and the Top 10 Michigan Business Award from the National Association of Women Business Owners.

In 2018, she was part of the Michigan Association of Female Entrepreneurs delegation that traveled to Dubai for the Global Business Women's Summit.

Vaughn and Jackets for Jobs was honored as Metro Detroit's Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® which are companies who distinguish themselves as having the most innovative and thoughtful resources approach.
