Brampton Entrepreneur wins Toastmasters Communication and Leadership Award

BRAMPTON, Ontario - April 10, 2019 - PRLog -- Daniel Lewis, a Brampton based businessman and owner of T by Daniel has been nominated as the winner of the District 86 Toastmasters Communication and Leadership Award. He will receive the award at the 2019 Toastmasters District 86 Conference on April 12th.

The prestigious award is presented to an individual who demonstrates excellent communication and leadership skills in their communities. District 86 recognized Lewis's contribution in inspiring youths, students, and entrepreneurs across North America. In 2014, Lewis was one of three Global Entrepreneurship Week Ambassadors, delivering speeches and offering tips on how to grow businesses in Canada. He developed a customer focused curriculum for businesses which has transformed into a certificate course offered in educational institutions across the GTA.

Lewis is the receipt of many awards, including the 2014 Brampton Young Entrepreneur of the Year, 2016 Business Excellence Award and 2017 Top 40 Under 40 Entrepreneurs. He was selected to serve tea to Prince Charles during Canada's 150th Anniversary in CFB Trenton in 2017.

District 86 District Director, Kristina Johnston, host for the District 86 Toastmasters Conference congratulated Lewis for winning the award "We congratulate Daniel Lewis on winning the C and L award, as he continues to make a significant impact on everyone around him" she said.

In addition to the Communication and Leadership Award presentation, Conference attendees will listen to inspirational speeches during the District Finals of the Evaluation and International Speech Contests. Ten finalists will compete for honors in both contests. The Winner of the International Speech Contest at the District level contest will represent the district at the 2019 Region 6 Quarter Finals, with this winner moving on to the World Championship of Public Speaking Contest taking place in Denver, CO, USA in August 2019.
