Turning Their House Into A Home Thanks To The Rustic Brush

The Rustic Brush Clear Lake will host five, first-time Habitat for Humanity Bay Area homeowners to make personalized home decor pieces for their new homes.

CYPRESS, Texas - April 9, 2019 - PRLog -- Through lots of sweat equity, five Bay Area families not only worked to help others achieve homeownership; they also became first-time homeowners themselves. Now, thanks to a partnership between The Rustic Brush (TRB) and Habitat for Humanity Bay Area, these families will create personalized home decor items for their new homes! On Saturday, May 18 at 11 AM these families will partake in the best social DIY crafting experience and create wooden decor pieces at The Rustic Brush Clear Lake studio.

For many families, owning a home can seem like an unattainable goal but thanks to organizations like Habitat for Humanity, more families are realizing that American dream. TRB CEO, Sandi Flores said that home ownership is one way to ensure a family's safety and security and called home ownership a blessing.

The Rustic Brush offers their guests the opportunity to design beautiful personalized wooden decor items that can be proudly displayed in their home or office. When looking for a way to give back to the communities they serve, "a partnership with Habitat for Humanity Bay Area just seemed like a natural fit," commented Flores. "We offer guests the opportunity to make items that make a house feel like a home and Habitat for Humanity helps deserving families build their first home," Flores continued. "The synergy was already there," she said.

Lafonda Hill, owner of The Rustic Brush Clear Lake studio didn't just want to host HFH Bay Area families for one day; Hill wanted to support the organization and the families all weekend long. "I'm excited about raising funds for Habitat for Humanity Bay Area," Hill chimed. "The organization does so much good for so many deserving families, we wanted to do even more," she said.

Ten percent of all proceeds from their open workshops held on May 18 -19 will go to Habitat for Humanity Bay Area. "We're happy to do it," said a smiling Hill.

To book a workshop that benefits Habitat for Humanity Bay Area, go to www.TheRusticBrush.com and choose the Clear Lake location at 1131 Clear Lake City Blvd, Houston, TX 77062. Workshops must be booked and completed between May 18 and 19.
