Abandoned Nebraska: Echoes of Our Past is a photographic adventure through the hauntingly beautiful neglected places of Nebraska, including schools, asylums, colleges, factories, churches, countless farmhouses, and even entire towns.

Trish Eklund's personal experiences with the places, and stories of those associated with them, accompany the author's enchanting images.

Highlights from the book include:

·         Monowi, Nebraska is the smallest town in America, mostly abandoned, with only one remaining resident.

·         The house where journalist Charles B. Washington once lived is anything but the ordinary boarded up house. In 2015, local teens memorialized his former home to educate visitors about the important man he was to the North Omaha Community.

·         The more than 110-year-old former Assumption Catholic School was an amazing piece of history until it was set ablaze in July 2016.
