DALLAS - April 8, 2019 - PRLog -- EMPOWER Series, Inc. is pleased to announce it has received a $60,000 grant from the Comerica Charitable Foundation. These funds will support the EMPOWER Series monthly financial literacy, growth mindset and personal development programs for low- to moderate-income students and adults.

The EMPOWER Series hosts its workshops on the third Saturday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to Noon at the Highland Hills Library (6200 Bonnie View Road, Dallas, TX 75241). Workshop topics include but are not limited to visioning and goal-setting, budgeting and saving, preparing and paying for college, entrepreneurship, understanding credit reports and scores, preparing for home ownership, life insurance, estate planning, and growth mindset development.

Founder and Executive Director, Clifton Ellis Johnson. "When organizations with a common purpose work together, unlimited possibilities occur. Through our workshops and events, we help people become self-sufficient, achieve financial stability and create positive banking relationships."

The Comerica Charitable Foundation awards quarterly grants through a competitive application and review process.

"For the past eight years, we've been fortunate to touch thousands of lives through this partnership while empowering individuals to become better stewards of their resources."

Since 2011, Comerica has awarded EMPOWER Series, Inc. and the Dallas Chapters of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) and the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) a total of $272,000 in sponsorships and grants in support of the EMPOWER Series programs.
