Dhalia Holds Property Talk & Networking Event
The event was introduced by David Dingli who leads Dhalia's human resources department. He gave an overview of the property industry, including what is going on right now as the market is at a high point and what this means for buyers and sellers.
Newcomer Alison Attard spoke about the challenges she faced when making the decision to work in real estate, as many people find it hard to make the leap from a salaried income to a commission-based income. She spoke about the training and support she receives from Dhalia which helps her to succeed.
Joanne Gatt spoke about her journey with Dhalia which began over 10 years ago when she worked as an administrative assistant within the company. She became more interested in the work and joined Dhalia's Marsascala team as their branch secretary. As she learned more about the industry, Joanne thought about becoming a full-time sales negotiator and today she believes it was "the best decision" she ever made.
Gordon Dalli, who manages two of Dhalia's branch offices, shared his experience as a manager. "No matter if it's a buyer's market or a seller's market, the services of a real estate agent are always in demand," he said.
David Dimech, one of Dhalia's top sellers, shared that the cornerstone of being successful is giving great service. "Even when it doesn't lead to a sale, giving the best service is the difference between being just another agent and making a client for life."
To round off the evening, Dhalia chairman Chris Grech addressed the attendees and recounted his experience of leading Dhalia over the past 37 years. "I am proud to have created a property company like no other, where the collaborative style of working makes us all feel like family," he said. The talk was followed by a reception.
