Multilingual Artist To Release Post-Impressionist Inspired Single

By: Glass Hamlet

NEW YORK - April 4, 2019 - PRLog -- Russian-American rapper, Glass Hamlet, is set to release his second single of the year on Friday, April 12th. "Go Solo" was inspired by the writings of one of the world's most renowned painters.

Glass Hamlet, on the inspiration, "I lost myself in the letters of Vincent Van Gogh and kept on re-reading those from his period in Holland from 1881-5. As any creative pursuing a lofty goal of self-expression, the parallels across generations haven't changed. All the struggles and impasses remain the same. Van Gogh states: 'I am an artist…which I do not take back, because that word of course includes the meaning: always seeking without absolutely finding.' The lyrics were complete within two days, which is unusually fast for my style of writing. The discontent of external validation paired with the love of the craft flowed like easy brushstrokes when I came across the beat of the track. Everything fit and Go Solo was born. It's a sentiment that has been spoken countless times, but perhaps my iteration will vibe with the certain few who are in similar waters."

"Go Solo" releases Friday, April 12th on all major music platforms.
