Follow on Google News | CAMCO earns Community Associations Institute honorBy: CAMCO CAMCO received the award at The Flyin' High With CAI gala, March 29 at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Las Vegas. CAI, a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to building better communities, presented the honor. CAMCO, founded in 1993, has offices in Las Vegas, Henderson, Carson City, Laughlin and Reno. Its staff provides management services for community associations, builders and developers throughout Nevada. CAMCO CEO Joel Just and several members of his team attended the gala and accepted the award, earned for the company's commitment to its employees, its community engagement and customer service and its support of CAI. The company had an in-office celebration April 3 to recognize the honor, praise the staff and revel in the accomplishment. CAMCO Marketing Director Mary Rendina said, "It was an honor to receive such a prestigious award. We are continually looking at ways to support our team members and foster an environment where our employees look forward to coming to work each day." Rendina said her company is also proud of its customer service and investment in education. "Here at CAMCO, we pride ourselves on providing continuing education for community managers along with homeowner board training. One of those resources is CAI and the quality programing they provide is essential to the success of our team and the leaders in the communities we manage." A 35 percent growth in the staff has also bolstered CAMCO's charitable efforts. "Our team is not only supporting the military troops, but also cancer charities, the elderly and children in at-risk schools," she said. "Our employees love to volunteer, and we allow them the time, during work hours, to participate in outreach programs." CAMCO's outreach initiatives have served many nonprofits. CAMCO also supports the Rocio Guillen Foundation, a charity started by the children of Rocio Guillen, who was killed in the Oct. 1, 2017, mass shooting on the Strip. CAI provides information, education and resources to homeowner volunteers who govern communities and the professionals who support them.
